Junior Interior Designer
I worked as a Junior Interior Design for an award winning international firm which I won through a design competition. Because of their size and stature I was exposed to a range of design work including hotels, restaurants, offices, student housing and private residences amongst others. My primary role was to compile the initial design presentations and assist on the early design development and working drawing packages. As a studio we did a lot of ‘in-house’ design pitching when given a brief, both independently and in groups.
Spaceplanner
I worked as a Spaceplanner for Wigan Borough Council whilst they were undergoing a major overhaul of their existing office premises and employee distribution. My role was to aid in the re-design and implementation of re-accommodating over 4000 employees into existing office premises using innovative design methods.
University
– Final Major Project – An art hostel set in Berlin, a collaborative and interactive art exhibition space and hostel
– Office Design Project – An interior focused concept studio supporting an open, collaborative and flexible working environment offering a tactile and memorable experience
– Second Year Design Competition – A speakeasy themed restaurant and bar set in a casino in Atlantic City, USA for which I won a years placement at an award winning Interior Design firm
